"As your State Senator, my top priorities will be fighting illegal immigration, addressing transparency in government, recruiting jobs and industry, returning honesty and ethics to government, and giving our children the public education they deserve.”
My years of experience as a leader in the community will help me lead our great state back on the right track and make our area stand out as a leader in industry, education and strong moral values!

With your help and donations Don Spurlin will be one step closer to Representing District 9 in the State Senate.
Don Spurlin was born and raised in Albertville to hard-working parents who taught him the value of a dollar at a very early age. His father, Carl Ray, was a supervisor in a furniture manufacturing plant, and his mother, Christine, was a stay-at-home Mom and homemaker who raised her children right. Once her children were old enough to leave the house, Christine got a job at the local Wal-Mart.
Educated in the Marshall County School System, Don graduated from Albertville High School and Snead State Community College before beginning course work at Jacksonville State University and the University of Alabama.
While in his early 20s, he entered the real estate profession and quickly set himself apart. In just a few years, Don branched into construction and development, both residential and commercial. The small construction company he started with a shoe-string budget is Don Spurlin Construction today, a respected residential and commercial builder with projects in three states.
Don’s life has proven he is used to facing challenges and refuses to take “no” for an answer. It is exactly that spirit and tenacity that we need representing our interests in Montgomery.
He and his wife of 20 years, Sherry, have worked hard to teach their eight-year-old daughter, Emma, the values of faith, hard work and respect for others that are shared by the citizens of Marshall, Madison and Blount counties. And they have done this not through words, but through actions.
Don Spurlin is a leader in every word – a business leader, a community leader and a leader in his church. District 9 needs him representing us in Montgomery and helping lead Alabama to newer and better heights.
